Revelations
Taryn followed the cop back to the boulevard where she had
left Sylvie. Ambulances and police cars with flashing red and blue lights were
everywhere. Taryn saw, with relief, Sylvie being patched up by paramedics near
one of the ambulances. One of the men had a stethoscope out and was trying to
check Sylvie's heartbeat with a baffled look on his face. Taryn felt sorry for
him, they probably never prepared him to check on folks with two heartbeats
before! And there was Sylvie's mom, sitting next to her, holding her hand while
the paramedic checked her over and another police officer was taking her
statement. And
Melissa leaned onto the fence of the valley enclosure. The high wooden fence encompassed a vast grass valley which extended for just under a square mile. Melissa would take the horses that her family owned out to this valley to get some exercise. She always enjoyed bringing the horse out to pasture because it mean that she got to see them run gracefully in a pack. Ever since she was a little girl Melissa always enjoyed being around horses. Ikani was sitting at her desk with her Biology book open writing down the notes that the teacher was putting on the board. While she did this, she constantly kept looking at the classroom door at the front of the room and dropped her head when she noticed that Jason was not going to walk through it. I guess he isn't in this class. Damn, I really wanted to someone to talk to in this class Fifteen minutes had passed since Lucas dragged Jason away for no obvious reason.
